For one of our clients in Rhein-Main-Area we are looking for an Oracle Database Security Engineer (m/f/d). The Database Security Engineer will support the ongoing development and certification of the database related security products, including an Oracle Data Safe solution.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Develop Oracle database security modules to support database operational support teams
- Analyse database platforms from an optimum security perspective
- Perform independent evaluations and testing of technology solutions, with test case generation, unit testing, integration testing and regression testing
- Document key information about engineering of new products and handover to operations team
Required skills/experience:
- Core knowledge of Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19c
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle Data Safe service
- Knowledge of Exadata-Cloud@Customer platform architecture and setup, preferably hands-on engineering experience with Exa-C@C databases and OCI connectivity
- Expertise in networking architectures pertaining to database deployments, server configurations that host databases, Oracle database concepts, and Oracle specific components
- Scripting and automation experience (important) using tools such as CLI, Python, PowerShell and UNIX scripting
- Must have good understanding of information security and database security principles with regards to database configurations, including but not limited to CIS Benchmark requirements
- Must have recently worked in an engineering capacity with Oracle databases, preferably within a large/global organization
- Strong technical documentation writing skills
- Good written and spoken English, German is a plus
