Software Engineer (m/f/d) – Focus on Automation & Oracle Databases

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance automation modules to streamline database operations.
• Design and implement software solutions to support database reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Work with application development teams to optimize database performance.
• Build, maintain, and improve platform automation tooling to reduce manual work.
• Contribute to the evolution of database-related tools, ensuring efficiency and maintainability.
• Provide L3 product support for Oracle Exadata and Oracle Databases.

Your Profile

• Strong software engineering background with experience in Python and Bash/KSH shell scripting.
• Experience in building automation solutions using Ansible, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions.
• Solid understanding of enterprise systems, cloud environments, and IT architectures.
• Familiarity with database technologies, particularly Oracle (11g, 12c, 19c) and related tools.
• Exposure to Oracle PL/SQL development and database performance tuning.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, and migration using RMAN, Data Guard, and Data Pump.
• Understanding of ITIL framework and incident management.
• Knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile environments using JIRA for project management.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a mindset for automation and innovation.
• At least 7+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in an enterprise setting.
• Good written and spoken English; German is a plus.
